The 6mm Creedmoor is the little brother to the very popular 6.5 Creedmoor. It has similar ballistics to the .243 Winchester, but its shorter length allows long, heavy bullets to be seated in the magazine. This caliber is an excellent choice for hunting, but its popularity was gained as a competition cartridge. Some of the new competitions, such as the Precision Rifle Series, require a lot of shooting and this cartridge is easy on the shoulder, even compared to the 6.5 Creedmoor. There are several companies now making bolt action and AR-10 type rifles for this caliber.

For the Small Rifle Primer of this caliber, please see our SR 6mm CM cases.

**WARNING** In firearms that use a floating firing pin (such as the AR-15 and its variants), dropping the bolt on a chambered round could lead to a slam fire. It is important that these firearms are loaded from the magazine so that the bolt loses inertia when it strips a round from the magazine. It is also important NOT to use sensitive primers that aren’t designed for use in an AR, as this increases the chance of a slam fire.

Product Review
Great stuff, some of this became available while I was waiting for the SRP version and it's really great brass. 6 Creedmoor out of a gas gun with a 24" barrel is about as enjoyable as shooting gets!!

I had two custom 6mm Creedmoor rifles made for my wife and I. Using Starline brass both rifles will group at 100 yds. in less that .5 inches with various bullets and powder combinations. I have yet to find a load that won't shoot. The brass from Starline is excellent. I just wish I could get more of it.

I have been wanting a 6mm Creedmoor for several years & when my trusty 6.5 Creedmoor barrel went south I went 6creed on new barrel. Bought 250pcs starline large primer 6creed brass. Im consistently getting .2-.3 grouping and in node es is staying in the teens! This is with virgin brass ( only having run necks across expander ball in standard die ) ..!! Id say the brass is Good To Go!!!
