45 Schofield is similar to the 45 Colt. Differences include head diameter approximately .010" larger, case length is 1.090" to 1.100" compared to 1.273" to 1.283" in the 45 Colt. Substantially less internal capacity for shooting light loads in most 45 Colt guns with no modifications. You may need to tune extractor on some lever action rifles, or decrease diameter of the ratchet on the cylinder by .010 to accommodate the larger head diameter in Ruger Vaquero and Colts. Also increases magazine capacity in rifles.

Product Review
Same great quality as all of Starline's brass. I load commercially, and my clients love shooting .45 Schofield in their repro Uberti Schofields, and using them in their standard .45 Colts for cowboy action as I load them down to a nice mild recoil. NOW..if only Starline will start producing them again. I have customers beating my door down for them.

I use .45 Schofield for better powder burn efficiency in my 4" .45 Colt concealed carry gun. The smaller capacity case provides more consistency shot to shot than the larger capacity .45 Colt case. The slightly shorter case also works better in speed loaders for my Redhawk. Great brass!

Product Review
As with other Starline cases, first rate! I use the Schofield cases in my .45 Colt ( original, large frame ) Vaquaros without any difficulty whatsoever ( NO modification required ) . I was shown the advantages of the shorter ( but not too short, IMHO , as accuracy is NOT compromised ) .45 cases early on in SASS , by other .45 shooters who saved the .45 Colt cases for their rifles . Look up and read the history of this cartridge- you may be surprised.

I use this brass in reloading for a replica Spencer Carbine. Works great and never gives me any problems. This is the only 45 S & W schofield brass that I can find on the market. Thanks Starline.
