#1540 - 45 Auto Rim Brass (Large Pistol primer)

45 AR, 45 Automatic Rimmed

The .45 Auto Rim has an extra thick rim that allows it to be used without a moon clip in revolvers designed for a .45 Auto/moon clip combination. It is built with the same integrity as our 45 Colt case.

This case will not work in single action revolvers chambered for .45 Auto (such as the Ruger Blackhawk with .45 Auto cylinder) or in double action revolvers designed for .45 Colt and .45 Auto in the same cylinder (such as the Ruger Redhawk or Smith and Wesson Governor).



* Starline Brass does not sell any loaded ammunition. What you are purchasing are brass cases only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm.

Once again Starline has hit the ball out of the park. This 45 AR brass is extremely consistent in length and weight. I use this in my S&W 1917, Colt 1917 & S&W 625-8 JM. My favorite load of course is Elmer Keiths 238 Grain 452423 over 7.5 Grains of Unique. I get very good accuracy with it. I really like not having to unload and load the half and full moon clips. This brass is very good and I have no complaints. And now for my wish list: 303 Savage (yes I use PRVI brass but I'd prefer to buy American), 35 Remington (Next to impossible to find), and 300 Savage.

Great product. I use it in a M625 and M1917 (M22) both at moderate velocities. The brass will last a long time, and I hope I have someone to will it too when I am beyond loading and shooting.
