38 Long Colt brass is basically a shortened version of .38 Special brass. 38 Long Colt brass cases can be fired from most firearms chambered for .38 Special and .357 Magnum.

Just the best brass out there, especially for cowboy shooters. I have used this for my cartridge conversions with a heeled bullet for years and they perform consistently well. Also a bargain for me as ammo for conversions is typically fifty bucks a box.

I use these cases along with Trailboss powder and light cast bullets to load very light practice rounds for doing safety sign offs with new shooters. I slowely increase the powder charge before moving to 38 special/9 mm loads. The almost non-existant recoil allows them to gain shooting experience witihout developing a flinch.
Starline makes these rarer calibers easy to get.
