Introduced in 1997, the .260 Remington is another wildcat turned commercial cartridge. Utilizing a 6.5mm (.264") diameter bullet, the .260 has a lot less recoil than its .308 parent case, but shoots much flatter. This has made it very popular in many shooting sports, and makes it an excellent choice for hunting in much of the U.S.

*As with all commercialized wildcat cartridges, minor variations in Pre-SAAMI chambers may not headspace properly or may have clearance issues with SAAMI spec brass.

**WARNING** In firearms that use a floating firing pin (such as the AR-15 and its variants), dropping the bolt on a chambered round could lead to a slam fire. It is important that these firearms are loaded from the magazine so that the bolt loses inertia when it strips a round from the magazine. It is also important NOT to use sensitive primers that aren’t designed for use in an AR, as this increases the chance of a slam fire.

Product Review
Great product. I am using this in an Encore pistol with a 15" barrel. Very consistent. So far I have used this brass to work up several loads that will stay under 1/2" at 100 yards. Very pleased.

Excellent brass. I use it in a semi-auto 260 Remington with a cut rifled barrel and results are one ragged hole groups after completing load development.
