SEDALIA, MO – Starline has recently wrapped up an exciting promotion to help our veterans. The mission of Project Service Dog was to raise funds to place a service dog with a deserving U.S. veteran. It also included a fantastic reloading prize pack giveaway.
The results were amazing. Project Service Dog raised $29,390 for Retrieving Freedom, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to training service dogs to serve the needs of veterans and children with autism. Through this project, not one but two U.S. veterans will be able to benefit from a fully-funded, trained service dog to meet their specific needs.
Starline wants to extend a heart-felt thank you to all those that contributed to the cause through the Starline page on Retrieving Freedom’s website. $11,112 was generously donated by individuals following and supporting the promotion. Starline matched every dollar donated and then some, totalling the $29,390 project contribution.
Being disabled in a combat zone and forced to return to society as a civilian can be a very difficult struggle for many veterans. Retrieving Freedom’s service dogs assist veterans with daily tasks and provide companionship to help them cope with emotions they may be experiencing. They also assist veterans who are living with limited mobility or use an orthotic or prosthetic device.

Project Service Dog’s reloading prize pack included a Hornady Lock N Load AP Reloading Press, RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Reloading Press, Graf & Sons $200 gift certificate, Champion AR500 3/8” 66% IPSC Steel Target, 500 Sierra Bullets gift certificate and 500 Starline cases of the winner’s choice. The lucky winner was William Henry, from Nacogdoches, Texas.
