SEDALIA, MO – Starline Brass has added two more rifle calibers to our growing line-up of high-quality rifle brass: the 22 ARC and the 338 ARC. Starline’s 22 ARC and 338 ARC brass is produced to the same demanding quality control standards that Starline has become known for and is available for much less than the price of comparable quality cases.

The 22 ARC is essentially a 6.5 Grendel case necked down to accept 22 caliber bullets to utilize the high BC, heavy-for-caliber bullets in .224” diameter, as well as being able to push the lighter .224” bullets faster than the .223 Rem. This gives shooters a versatile cartridge for either long range target shooting or varmint hunting that works well in both bolt action and AR platform rifles.

The 338 ARC was developed to compete with the 300 Blackout and 8.6 Blackout for mainly suppressed subsonic use. It is able to run the heavier .338 caliber bullets like the 8.6 Blackout, so it has more energy than the 300 Blackout, but is still able to run in the AR-15 platform unlike the 8.6. It is capable of supersonic loadings as well, but keep in mind that many of the .338” hunting type bullets were designed for the large magnum calibers and may not perform properly on game at the slower velocities. Many companies are putting out bullets designed to expand at the subsonic velocities that would work well in this cartridge for hunting applications.
