357 MAXIMUM (Small Rifle primer)

1.590 - 1.600 O.A.L.

The .357 Maximum was developed in the early 80's by Ruger and Remington Arms as a silhouette cartridge for the Blackhawk revolver.  This beefed up, elongated .357 Magnum has also been chambered in Dan Wesson revolvers as well as several single shot rifles and pistols including the T/C Contender.  Game laws in several states have changed, and are now allowing pistol caliber rifles for deer hunting, giving new life to this once obsolete cartridge.  For more information on custom guns or barrels in the .357 Maximum, visit www.bellmtcs.com or www.matchgrademachine.com.

Its great that Starline is now making this caliber. We manufacture the .357 Max. in a couple configurations and do some wildcats from it. Excellent brass and quality control. With Starline brass we are keeping the .357 Max. alive and growing!

I have started using the Starline 357 Maximum brass as soon as it became available, and like all other Starline brass, it's quality is excellent! Besides using this brass I a couple of different 357 Maximum rifles, I also neck the brass down to .17 caliber, 204, .22, 6mm, .257, 7mm and .30 caliber. It forms and fire-forms without any issues, and case life is far better than one would expect. Loaded down or on the rather warm side, I have nothing but praise for the quality of this brass. Thank you Starline! David White Precision Riflesmith
