The 6.8 SPC was designed for the military as a cartridge that landed between the 5.56mm NATO and the 7.62mm NATO to be used in the AR-15/M-4 platform. It loses very little magazine capacity versus the 5.56mm (25 vs. 30 rounds), but has better knockdown power without much more recoil.

This caliber works very well in short barreled rifles and is an easy conversion for an AR-15, requiring only a barrel, bolt, and magazine swap.

For someone looking for an AR-15 for hunting, this caliber is a logical choice, especially for recoil-sensitive shooters.

Our brass is safe to use in both 6.8 SPC and 6.8 SPC II chambers.

**WARNING** In firearms that use a floating firing pin (such as the AR-15 and its variants), dropping the bolt on a chambered round could lead to a slam fire. It is important that these firearms are loaded from the magazine so that the bolt loses inertia when it strips a round from the magazine. It is also important NOT to use sensitive primers that aren’t designed for use in an AR, as this increases the chance of a slam fire.

I asked for a few sample cases to see how well they would reform into 6mm WOA for use in a custom AR-15 competition rifle. Starline quickly shipped me 6 cases, along with a ball cap and patch, FREE of charge!, WOW, excellent customer service! Cases resized perfectly, I did not loose one case to any malformities. Working up test pressure loads to find max on the wildcat, I had NO failures of the case and only stopped when primers started to show signs as well as case head swipe. The pressure test load cases came out as if they were originally design for the new 6mm WOA chambering. Have since order 500 more and have been working through them with various loads for different bullet weights as well as different powders. VERY consistent cases. Planning to buy more to stock up on! THANKS Starline for the customer service and Excellent product!

i decided to see just how many times i could load this casing. i loaded one case, fired it and kept loading to failure. i stopped at 10 loading's and never had a failure. no annealing and full length sized every time. primer pockets were still good and quite serviceable. we 6.8 shooters have waited a long time for this, and Starline did not disappoint.

Very durable, very consistent. Holds up very well to stout reloads over and over. Won't give up primer pocket as easy as other brands. Been waiting for this kind of quality in 6.8 for a long time. Hats off to you Starline!!

i finally got a chance to shoot some of this brass. it's well made and the new brass holds 37.4 water and once fired holds 40.3. i expect it to last a long time through many reloadings. Glad to see this on the market. the only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is the low case capacity of the new unfired. BUT,,, it really gains in capacity once its fired.

while i haven't shot any of this brass yet the first impression is quality. It is heavier in weight than Fed, S&B, SSA, and some of the Hornady. Shooters loading high volume powders such as H322 will most likely have to drop back if using max load data. powders like A2200 or H335 will work just fine at max load data. We 6.8 shooters applaud Starline for offering us new brass, one couldn't ask for a better quality case. i guess i would compare it to mil spec when thinking of weight and durability. thanks again Starline. (the only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the slightly reduced case capacity). dw
