Originally a black powder cartridge, this is basically a .44-40 necked down to accept a .401" diameter bullet. Our .38-40 brass has a wall thickness of .0062" but is still stiffer and less fragile than other brands which make it much easier to reload.

* Starline Brass does not sell any loaded ammunition. What you are purchasing are brass cases only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm.
Best 38WCF on the market! I have been using this 38WCF for many years, and can't remember ever having a split case. The only "lost" brass comes form other brands, Winchester, Remington, and Western.

Best 30-40 Brass for reloading. All other 30-40 Brass I've used is thin and fragile, cases usually arrive damaged or crushed in some way. Not Starline, built to last. Many Thanks, Dave

I have been loading Starline 38-40 brass for 15 years. I may still have some of the original brass. That's how good it is.
