Doug Koenig

Doug Koenig
"To do your best, you must use the best equipment. That's why I use Starline Brass."

The list of professional shooters who have withstood the test of time, and continue to perform at a championship level is rather short. Doug Koenig is that once in a generation talent, redefining what it takes to be a World Champion Professional Shooter, Athlete, and lifelong hunter. With nearly three decades of professional shooting experience, Doug attributes the incredible success he’s experienced by incorporating a strong work ethic into his range practice sessions and always being prepared, focused and disciplined.

Koenig was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and began shooting competitively at the age of 17 winning both regional and national competitions. In 1990, Doug turned Pro as a competitive shooter and the decision paid off scoring an unprecedented 1920x at the NRA Bianchi Cup. Since that day, his list of accomplishments and championship wins continues and may never be surpassed. His potent combination of speed, accuracy and shooting skills has produced wins in various multi-disciplined competitions; with more than 70 National and 10 World titles including an unprecedented 18 times as a Bianchi Cup Champion.

Doug Koenig, is a lifelong hunter and hosts his own TV Show “Doug Koenig’s Championship Season.” Each week, the show features Doug competing, while demonstrating the discipline, commitment and hard work it takes to become a World Champion Professional Shooter to maintain that competitive edge. Promoting an outdoor lifestyle for families and sharing his hunting and shooting tips to ensure your day in the field is memorable, are just a few of Doug’s passions.

Bruce Piatt

Bruce Piatt
"It doesn't matter if I'm at the Bianchi Cup or the USPSA Open Nationals, it's the superior consistency of Starline's .38 Super and the flawless functioning of the 'Super Comp's' that keeps me a Starline Brass believer."

Bruce Piatt’s interest in the shooting sports began as a youngster admiring his grandfather’s firearm  collection. With encouragement from his father, Bruce enrolled in the NRA 50ft. Small Bore Junior’s Program at a local indoor range and the seed was planted as he rose through the ranks. By the mid-80’s Bruce competed at his first IPSC pistol match, which led to others on the east coast competition circuit. In 1986 Bruce graduated from the NJ State Police Academy, becoming a police officer in his hometown. The flexible work schedule permitted Bruce to travel the country competing at every match he could attend. His shooting disciplines include Action Pistol, Tactical 3-Gun, USPSA/IPSC, Steel Challenge and the Sportsman’s Team Challenge. A highlight of Bruce’s competition career was getting married in 1993 and spending his honeymoon competing at and winning his first Bianchi Cup in Columbia, Missouri.

Now retired from a stellar 32 year Law Enforcement career, Bruce is a speaker, shooting instructor and the founder of Bruce Piatt Training Concepts, LLC. While maintaining a multi-discipline competition schedule, Bruce is a R&D consultant to outdoor industry manufacturers, he’s an influential industry spokesperson and Shooting Sports Ambassador. Bruce is available to offer Custom 1911 Gunsmith classes across the country.

Tony Holmes
"I demand quality & consistency to produce the best reloads possible, I look no further than Starline for my brass needs. Starline has been my proven winner!"

Tony started competing in 1974 at the age of 13 in NRA High-Power and Small-bore Rifle matches. Coached as a youngster by his father, a law enforcement officer and competitive shooter himself, he introduced Tony into handgun shooting. Encouraging his son with many long hours of practice on the range, led to Tony competing at many local and state matches. Tony's first out of state match was in 1983 at the Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot in Central Lake MI. Finishing in the top 10 of the revolver event Tony won his first gun. This win was the catalyst to what has now become not only Tony’s passion to compete in the shooting sports, but an ongoing love for the    shooting sports.

Throughout Tony’s professional competitive shooting career, he consistently proves himself as a top competitor in a variety of shooting disciplines, which includes IPSC, Action Pistol and Long-Range Silhouette Rifle. But its 3-Gun that remains his favorite shooting discipline. Excelling in these multi-disciplines ensures Tony’s sponsors will receive high profile exposure and media coverage for their productsTony uses.

Today, Tony’s yearly competition schedule includes matches around the country and throughout the world all while working a full-time job. Whether Tony’s competing, hunting or representing himself as an industry ambassador for his sponsors and his country abroad, he always takes time to introduce newcomers to the sport. It has become a lifestyle Tony doesn’t take for granted and he enjoys sharing his knowledge. Simply put . . . Tony lives for the next upcoming competition, training hard at the range and fine-tuning his equipment.
