The .40 S&W is basically a short version of the 10mm Auto that utilizes the Small Pistol primer.  This cartridge quickly became a favorite among Law Enforcement, target shooters, and plinkers due to its combination of accuracy, power, low recoil and availability.

Excellent brass. I've used thousands of cases and every case and caliber have been tight in spec and uniform. Wonderful source for reloading brass bar none !!!

I have been using this 40 S&W brass from Starline for years and never had a problem at all. I wish Starline would make NATO SPEC 5.56 Brass

Have been shooting this brass for years. I keep track of how many times it has been reloaded and find almost no problems beyond 11 reloads (light power factor of about 150 for shooting steel). I eventually stop using it because I worry that the primer pockets may be getting loose -- not because of any real problem.

I just started reloading this caliber just last year. I find the Starline brass to be the best and it in my price range to work with. I have my trimmer set at .845 and trim my brass to this spec. I have fire Starline 3 to 5 times before my trimmer even touches it. So this means more reloads per casing for me. It's good brass. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Excellent brass. I am updating my rounds and looked to Starline as my supplier of choice. I have not been disappointed. The casings arrived in perfect condition, round mouths, no blemishes, ready to start reloading. The 40 S&W brass seems to need no prep other than to expand them to accept the seating of the bullet. Using a taper crimp die the uniformity of the loads is excellent. I am pleasantly pleased in this day of cutting costs and quality, Starline appears to have spared no expense that would cause the quality to suffer. I highly recommend them for all your pistol brass.

I just finished loading up some of these very nice cases. I measured each case before using any dies. I found each case length to be within .002" from the shortest to the lonest. The shortest case was0.845". The longest was 0.847". There was no need to size prior to loading. Great quality control!!! Keep up the good work. Too bad I can't get more. Will this shortage ever be over?
